At nearly 270 feet, Mt. Mitchill Scenic Overlook occupies the tallest natural elevation on the plain of the Atlantic Coast. Visitors can choose from two viewing areas, each offering stunning glimpses of Sandy Hook, Raritan Bay and the New York skyline; the Monmouth County 9/11 Memorial also resides at the Overlook. It lies near the heart of town, about 40 miles east of Princeton.
